A regular clean is the same visit every time: the same two cleaners, on the same day, in the same order. Dust falls, so we start at the ceiling fans and finish on the floors, and a room is only done once.
What every visit covers
Kitchen: hob, worktops, cupboard fronts, sink and taps, the outside of the oven and fridge
Bathrooms: shower glass, tiles, the bath, basin and toilet, mirrors, limescale off the taps
Bedrooms and living rooms: dusting top to bottom, beds made, surfaces wiped under and put back
Floors last: vacuumed, then mopped and dried by hand
How often
Every week, every other week or every four weeks. Most two-bed flats are every other week. You can change the rhythm with 48 hours’ notice.
The note
Before we lock up we leave a note on the counter: each room with the time we finished it, anything we noticed, and who did the visit.
